When Equiteq, the global advisory, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transaction consultancy approached Polygon to create their new portfolio compendium, we were delighted to offer the company our unique blend of graphic design and creative branding services.

As a trusted international advisor, Equiteq works with businesses with annual revenues of between $5m to $100m+ helping company owners to grow equity, prepare for sale and execute successful commercial transactions.

Our approach, to deliver a distinctive and engaging financial portfolio that imparts Equiteq’s complex content, data and trend forecasts in an accessible and visually aesthetic document, required strategic and multifaceted design and production considerations.

With an international audience of investors, companies and stakeholders, the resulting document would be used to share Equiteq’s reports across the knowledge economy incorporating primarily the engineering, HR, IT and management consulting sectors. Thus, it was vital that Equiteq’s statistical content and data research was easy to digest yet would also convey the company’s distinctive and established visual identity to its global audience of more than 6.000 consulting firm owners.

The Polygon strategy was to blend the ‘old’ with the ‘new’ – we utilised the existing Equiteq Brand Manifesto to create a flexible layout which would convey statistics and graphic information clearly to the reader. The distinctive style would allow the document to evolve year-on-year ensuring optimum longevity and the potential to ‘grow’ and develop the report. Polygon further enhanced the document with PowerPoint presentations, graphs and visual representations, in separate formats, and made these available for use by the company’s internal team.

The authoritative final report offers key insight to deal sizes and structures, regional M&A activity, valuation multiples and trends, equity market performance and ‘who’s buying’ by sector. It’s packed with vital information for owners across the knowledge economy who are considering selling their businesses. The report is distributed globally and is available to download via Equiteq Edge for company subscribers.
