Polygon continues to support Ukraine and deplores the Putin project of oppression which is resulting in misery for the victims of the continued hostile occupation of their country and the millions of displaced Ukrainian refugees.

The company’s Managing Director, Martin Allerton was humbled to learn that a recent donation was so warmly received, “It was lovely to understand at first hand the generosity of people, and organisations in Poland and how they are trying to make a difference for the people of Ukraine, despite such awful circumstances. This definitely won’t be our last donation”.

The generous hard work of fundraisers and supporters of the Ukraine cause were headed up by Beata Wajdzik, a British citizen, whose fantastic achievements helped to raise over PLN 2,000 through collections and donations. The fundraiser ended on 6th May and the items donated included batteries, flashlights, tinned foodstuffs, chemicals and dry foods.

The offerings were despatched to Rydultowy, Beata’s hometown, where they were divided between the Corpus Christi Parish in Rybnik, to support its congregation, now greatly expanded by Ukrainian refugees; Rydultowy’s mayor arranged for the remaining items to be transported to areas in Ukraine where the population has chosen to stand firm against Putin’s invasion.

On behalf of the heartened Ukrainian citizens, the message back to the UK was clear, “Thank you for every flashlight, canned food and battery brought to the Public Library of the City of Rydułtowy im. H. M. Górecki or Rydułtowy Civic Center.
