Petrico Company Secretary, Phil Walter and his son, Kobi recently took on the National 3 Peaks Challenge in memory of Phil’s wife, Amanda.

The challenge is to climb the highest mountains in England, Scotland, and Wales (Scafell Pike, Ben Nevis, and Snowdon) in 24 hours. Kobi successfully achieved the feat, alongside friends Alicia Deighton, George Higginson, Rob McPherson and Jake Bailey. Phil and Phil Higginson served as drivers of the team bus, which was sponsored by Petrico.

The team joined together to raise money for Ehlers-Danlos Support UK, a charity that helps people with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, a rare genetic syndrome that affects connective tissues in the body. The charity supported Amanda throughout her battle and so far the team has raised an impressive £2,800 for the cause.
