Polygon’s Financial Controller, Dave Surgenor, keeps the business on track during the working week and in the evenings and at weekends, he dedicates a significant amount of his time to the wellbeing of youth football in Gloucestershire.

Dave recently decided to step down as Chair of the Cheltenham Youth Football League, having worked tirelessly to help grow the league into one of the largest and most successful in Gloucestershire with around 4,500 children and young adults registered.

“I am very proud of my involvement and what I and my colleagues have achieved over the past 20 years. It has been an honour to be involved for so long, but the time is right to pass on the baton to a new generation. I initially became involved in grass roots football when my son, Tom, showed an interest in joining a team as a youngster and it ‘snowballed’ from there. Every season I can see at first hand the positive impact that team sport has on young people, whatever their backgrounds. I’ve always worked with a simple remit to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for children and young adults to play football.”

WELL DONE DAVE, WE ARE ALL PROUD OF YOU, YOUR FOOTBALLING ACHIEVEMENTS AND YOUR COMMITMENT TO OUR COMMUNITY.
