As Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II prepares to celebrate her Platinum Jubilee this weekend, Polygon Marketing would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank her for an inspirational 70 years of devoted duty, for her outstanding and unwavering commitment to a lifetime of service, and for continuing to be the steadfast figurehead for the UK and the Commonwealth during times of enormous social transformation.

In the tumultuous 70 years since she was officially crowned Queen of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth, in 1953 at just 27 years of age, so much has changed… She has been served by 14 British prime ministers and met with 13 US presidents. No other monarch throughout history has served for as long as she has, and whilst politically, socially, globally, the British Empire she presided over at her coronation is now somewhat diminished, the admiration Queen Elizabeth garners from world leaders today still reflects the enormous respect and high regard she commands across the globe.

Queen Elizabeth ll has been the steadfast anchor that has served her country through periods of war, tragedy, civil unrest, disaster, uncertainty, transformation, success and excitement — who could forget her cameo appearance as she was ‘helicoptered’ into the 2012 London Olympics arena with ‘007’?!

Queen Elizabeth’s long reign and life have been a permanent fixture in the fabric of our country for more than 70 years. This weekend, the Polygon team will be taking a moment to raise a toast to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth ll, to congratulate and thank her for her outstanding lifetime of service.

And yes, I will be there on Thursday cheering outside the gates of Buck House.
