Polygon Marketing donates artwork to nursing home
A Cheltenham nursing home was the recipient of a specially commissioned piece of artwork from Polygon Marketing in recognition of its tireless efforts to protect is residents and staff during the Covid-19 pandemic.
“We wanted to show our appreciation to all care workers in our community for their heroic efforts during these extraordinary times,” explains Dave Surgenor, Financial Controller, Polygon Marketing. “We decided to commission a local Cheltenham artist to create something to brighten up the day for both the carers and the residents.”
Polygon commissioned Sue Allerton who specialises in hand painting and printing floral designs onto organza. “During the recent lockdowns we have all learned to appreciate and take comfort from our gardens and outside spaces so I wanted to bring a little of the outside in. I chose to feature wisteria because it’s always a feast for the senses and by painting and layering sheer fabric pieces I hope I have created depth and a sense of being immersed in the flowers and sunshine.”
“The gesture was hugely appreciated,” Dave continues, “but it’s nothing compared to ours and the recognition we have for the incredible team of selfless individuals working at care homes across the UK who have given their all despite huge potential risks to themselves.”
