It has just been announced that Gulf Retail is a finalist for Oil Company Initiative at the Forecourt Trader of the Year Awards, the Oscars of petrol retailing.

Gulf’s entry centred around its industry-best loyalty platform, Oomph which, a year after its launch, has become the market leader for remote customer retention, driving customer loyalty and attracting new business to forecourts across the UK.

Gulf Retail has won the award twice before, in 2008 and 2013, and was highly commended in 2017. Its entry each year is coordinated by Polygon, comprising photography and videography, plus supporting written content and highlights, as Gulf goes toe to toe with the major UK petrol retail brands for the top industry prize.

The FT Awards evening, now 24 years old, is considered the most prestigious event in the UK petrol retailing industry calendar, providing a platform to acknowledge and reward the skills and achievements in the sector and to all those who contribute to it.

This year’s awards will be held online, recognising and applauding the movers and shakers in the industry, and raising a ‘virtual’ glass to their success, on Thursday 14 January 2021 at 6.30 pm.
